The Eleventh Hour of the Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month

The ceasefire for the Western Front in World War I (1914-18) took place at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, i.e. November 11th (1918) at 11 a.m.  In the United States, this event is commemorated on Veterans Day.
