The Sunni Triangle

"The Sunni Triangle" is a region to the north and west of Baghdad, Iraq that is populated mostly by Sunni Muslim Arabs.  It was a region of major opposition to the Coalition forces during the Second Gulf War. Saddam Hussein was captured in a village to the south of Tikrit, which is in the northern portion of the Triangle.

How It's Used
