How It's Used

"The visual centerpiece of the film ["Seventh Heaven" (1927)] is a shot that follows the lovers from the ground floor of a Parisian tenement, rising with them as they climb what appear to be six flights of stairs (actually three, blended by a hidden dissolve) to arrive at the attic aerie that is their 'seventh heaven,' a private world that belongs to them alone.”

Dave Kehr, “When Titans Roamed the Backlot at Fox,” The New York Times, December 9, 2008.
