The Jackson Five

The Jackson Five were one of the most successful music groups of the 1970's with such hits as "I Want You Back," "ABC," "The Love You Save," and "I'll Be There."  Originally, the group was composed of five brothers from Gary, Indiana: As a solo performer, Michael went on to become one of the most successful musical performers of all time.

How It's Used

"Marlon Jackson, one of the original members of the Jackson Five, gave this version of his late brother's life at the memorial service: 'Being judged, ridiculed -- how much pain can one take? Maybe now, Michael, they will leave you alone.'"

—Bill Wyman, “The Tragedy of Michael Jackson: The self-proclaimed King of Pop was nobody's victim,” The Wall Street Journal, 15 Jul 09, http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124762029798042603.html.
