The Big 12 Conference

The Big 12 Conference is a group of universities in the South Central region of the United States that compete against each other in sports in Division I, or at the highest level of competition.  It was founded in 1996. The current members of the conference are:

• Baylor University
• Iowa State University
• Kansas State University
• Oklahoma State University
• Texas A&M University
• Texas Tech University
• The University of Colorado
• The University of Kansas
• The University of Missouri
• The University of Nebraska
• The University of Oklahoma
• The University of Texas

How It's Used

“But if you're into that BCS stuff, there is the SEC championship game with Alabama and Florida at 1 p.m. on Channel 2 and the Big 12 championship game with Missouri and Oklahoma at 5 on Channel 7. If you're into blowouts and bragging (Trojans), or wishing you could trade your most prized possessions for an upset (Bruins), then it's USC-UCLA at 1:30 on Channel 7.”
